Facilitators

Our facilitators at The Boise Forge are there to guide meaningful conversations, create a safe space for vulnerability, and foster growth through shared wisdom and lived experience. They help hold the space with intention—offering support, structure, and accountability as we build together.

Donnell Jackson Jr.

My name is Donnell Jackson Jr., originally from San Antonio, TX, I've called Boise, ID my home since 2015. I'm a proud military veteran, having served 11 years in the United States Air Force as a Financial Manager. Today, I continue to serve as a Quality Assurance Manager with the Idaho Air National Guard and also dedicate my time to coaching varsity football at Mountain View High School in Meridian, ID.

I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor of Applied Science at Boise State University, where I'll graduate in December 2025 with certificates in Leadership Growth and Emotional Intelligence. I'm also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., an organization that continues to inspire my commitment to achievement, leadership, and service.

I created The Boise Forge as a space for men to be seen, supported, and strengthened. It's more than just meetings—it's a movement rooted in vulnerability, resilience, and purpose. My goal is to help men—especially young men—embrace their identity, prioritize mental wellness, and walk confidently in their journey toward leadership and legacy.

AT Thomas

AT Thomas is a Chicago Native, raised in the church and instilled with the values of respecting and caring for others.

Currently a project manager at Mountain Engineering, with a background in leadership and development. He spent the early part of life pursuing a basketball career, before being blessed to start a journey into the corporate landscape with HP in 2013.

In 2019, he founded a non-profit organization which was used to create an annual women's flag football league, a league that at one point proudly consisted of over 150 women from around the treasure valley. The same non-profit was also used to aide underprivileged youth in the treasure valley for needs during the school year and holiday season.

Having led workshops and discussions centered on the understanding of oneself, he is deeply passionate about the development of the individual. He is thrilled to join The Boise Forge organization, drawn by it's mission to support men of all ages in their emotional, mental and spiritual development - ultimately helping them realize their true potential.

His passion and upbringing is what inspired him to join The Boise Forge and help develop and change the greater Treasure Valley Community in a meaningful way

Patrick Carter Jr.

Seattle-born and Cali-raised, I've proudly called Boise home since 2008. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and Communications from Idaho State University, and I'm the owner and founder of E.L.E.V.A.T.E.D Hair Lounge & Barbershop, with locations on Vista and Chinden Ave.

As a barber, I've learned that being personal isn't just part of the job—it's the heartbeat of the experience. The barbershop has become a space where vulnerability is welcomed, and personal growth is nurtured. That same spirit of openness and empowerment is what I bring to The Boise Forge.

Through this work, I'm passionate about helping young and adult men step into their highest potential—mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Whether it's through a fresh cut or a real conversation, my mission is to create environments where men can thrive through guidance, community, and support.
